Breakfast is the most important meal of the day so make it special with this healthy bircher muesli.

The ingredient of Bircher muesli

  1. 5 cups rolled oats
  2. 1 cup bran
  3. 1 cup pitted dates, roughly chopped
  4. 3/4 cup sultanas
  5. 1/2 cup raw almonds, roughly chopped
  6. 1/2 cup macadamia nuts, roughly chopped
  7. 3 1/2 cups milk
  8. 300g low-fat vanilla yoghurt
  9. 2 tablespoons honey
  10. 2 Granny Smith apples, grated
  11. Berries, to serve
  12. Extra honey, to serve

The instruction how to make Bircher muesli

  1. Combine oats, bran, dates, sultanas, almonds, macadamia nuts, milk, yoghurt and honey in a large bowl. Mix well. Cover. Refrigerate overnight.
  2. Remove from fridge 30 minutes before serving. Stir in apple. Spoon into bowls. Serve topped with berries and honey.
