The ingredient of Singapore noodles

  1. 1 tablespoon peanut oil
  2. 1 brown onion, halved, thinly sliced
  3. 2cm piece fresh ginger, peeled, finely grated
  4. 1 garlic clove, crushed
  5. 1 tablespoon mild curry paste
  6. 200g can peeled prawns, drained (see note)
  7. 1 red capsicum, cut into 2cm thick slices
  8. 4 green onions, thinly sliced
  9. 2 cups shredded wombok (Chinese cabbage)
  10. 1 cup beansprouts, trimmed
  11. 1/3 cup frozen peas
  12. 440g packet shelf-stable thin egg noodles
  13. 2 tablespoons kecap manis

The instruction how to make Singapore noodles

  1. Heat a wok over medium-high heat. Add oil. Swirl to coat. Add brown onion, ginger, garlic and curry paste. Stir-fry for 3 to 4 minutes or until onion has softened.
  2. Add prawns, capsicum, green onion, cabbage, beansprouts and peas. Stir-fry for 5 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
  3. Add noodles and kecap manis. Stir-fry for 2 to 3 minutes or until noodles are heated through. Serve.
